Title: You Have Been Invited

Scripture: Isaiah 55:3 – Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.
Revelation 19:9 – And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
The world has been invited to attend the biggest banquet that will ever take place. The invitations have been sent. They were personally written and issued by the Lamb Himself and signed by Him. He personally delivers the invitations, and every person from Adam has received and will receive their invitation. No one is overlooked or left out. Each has to respond for himself /herself, and no one can respond for someone else. The responses have started coming in.

When I receive an invitation, one of the first things I need to know is the dress code for the event; because I want to be appropriately dressed. To attend the marriage supper of the Lamb you must be dressed in the righteousness of the Lamb. He provides the clothing, transportation, accommodation and food. Many people have accepted the invitation; thereby, accepting Christ and still many more will. Many people also have rejected the invitation; thereby, rejecting Him and many more will. God loves us all and He demonstrated His love vividly on Calvary through the death of God the Son, Christ Jesus, his burial and on the third day his resurrection from the dead (2 Corinthians 4:3-5). All you have to do is accept the invitation of the Lamb. Have you?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for providing the way for us to be admitted into Your kingdom. A song says “death has died and love has won, hallelujah, hallelujah, Jesus Christ has overcome, He has risen from the dead”. We, too, say hallelujah! For the Lamb has overcome. As Psalm 19:14 says, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, o Lord, my strength and my redeemer.” In Jesus name we pray. Amen.(by Juliana Thomas)
