Pastor Wayne Cockrell, born February 12, 1954, and lived a life of darkness, confusion, and separation from God in pursuit of sin. But, born a second time in June, 1979 when he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Since that time he has known, and still testifies that, “if any man be in Christ he is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things become new”.
Since that time these are just a few of the marvelous acts of God’s mercy and grace in his life.

He was licensed to preach in October, 1981 and ordained to the pastoral ministry in November 1984 through Manna Bible Baptist Church under the late Pastor Joseph Brown. He served as an associated pastor of Berean Bible Church under Pastor Paul Lewis until the call of God to start Genesis Bible Fellowship Church in June 1986.

Pastor Cockrell is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Liberty University with a Master of Religion with a Counseling Concentration and Faith Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. He is also a graduate of the Baltimore School of the Bible with a certificate in Advanced Teacher Training. Pastor Cockrell served with the Baltimore School of the Bible for over 22 years, as an instructor for the Gospel of John, Pauline Epistles, Personal Evangelism and Hebrews. Currently Pastor Cockrell is finishing his Doctor of Ministry degree at Faith Theological Seminary. He can be seen in the Baltimore metropolitan area on the Fox CW Television Station (Channel 54) Food for the Soul Television Broadcast every Wednesday at 6:00 AM
